Painting competition

I'm looking to see if anyone would be in a painting contest. Everyone would have the same miniature. And we would all paint 'em up. Do it in an afternoon or evening. Then all vote for the best. Not likely any real prizes, just cred. Everyone takes their mini(after a short stent in the case). It would be an opportunity to work on skills, talk shop, and just have some fun. I could even be persuaded to provide sustenance.
This would be in Fort Collins. To start at least. I would also start with Malifuax models, cause they are fun, and to build interest, and cause I get cred for running it then

sounds interesting. I think I might be interested. Depends on the model, and on the sustinance.

For the first one(of hopefully many), I will likely pick several mercenaries that are good in game, and can be used with almost any crew. That way if anyone decides to play, they can use the model. I will then post them up here with an open poll to vote on the specific model that we use.

Its easy. Put a brush in some paint, put the brush on your model. Learning is easy, getting good takes practice.(And tips from others help) That's what this whole thing is about. Practice, tips, and talk, the competition is just an excuse, and secondary.

The plan is the same model for everyone. It will give a nice base line, to work from and to. And I always like seeing what different people do with the same model.
