I was curious as to what everyone's style of painting is; whether you paint your figs on or off the sprue, or whether you find it better to paint after the model has been assembled. I've been trying different ways, and some work better than others for me.

personally, i like to paint it totally assembled. I tried painting on the sprue but i was frustrated wtih having to go back after you clip the part to touch it up.

For me, it is all about what I'm painting. Mostly, I paint fully assembled. However, my skeletons(Tomb Kings) were painted on sprue, tons of skeletons, and it sped things up considerably, plus I couldn't play till they were finished. My Eldar jetbikes were painted partially assembled. This allowed me to do different effects on different parts, as well as, get to those pesky details.
