March 29th Apocalypse

Hi guys (and gal)!

Just putting this here to start collecting signups and points total for Apoc on Saturday, March 29th.
I will be planning on opening the doors a little early and STARTING EARLY. NO LATE ADDS!

But, if anyone else wants to, I'd love mission setup suggestions. Maybe Chad or CW will help me run this.

Sure, I get of work @ 3.

I will defiantly show for apocalypse. I will be able to bring up to 6,000pts of eldar  
(look forward to seeing eldar titans on the field as well)

and for mission instead of objectives or kill points what if we did a storm the fort like mission, imperium of man vs. xenos. I even have a large fortress like structure and a fortress of redemption if we need it.

mission example: first line of defense = difficult terrain to slow down xenos. this could be weapon emplacements and mine fields.
second line of defense: fortress wall destroy segment to continue to last line of defense
last line of defense: imperial fortress

i would be interested, i think we need to limit it to probly 3000 a person or it turns to one person doing most things on each side and it takes a long time

last apoc the points were pretty much even. it really comes down to what you choose to field. titans can get pretty expensive. point wise. but a 6000pts army doesn't mean that player has more to do, and in fact could have less to do then other players.

its not a matter of being even more that people who didn't bring much start to feel left out.

again it really comes down to what you choose to put on the battlefield. but if that's the issue I think 5000pts would be better if a point limit / requirement is needed.

i still think it would be to much the goal would be to get it done in one day. 5000 per person is over twice the amount of a standard game.

I guess we will have to see how many players say they will come first. then we could decide points later.

I'm in with around 5000 definite points of my blood angels, I may have more but I havent counted recently.

Just want to make sure, in case I wasn't clear, that this is for the Fort Collins Hobbytown on Saturday. We have some new faces, just checking!

I'm going to go ahead and boldly suggest a cap of 4,000 points.

How did it end? Who won?

well it was 8000 points of Blood Angles and Eldar vs 8000 points of tyranid swarms
the first few turns were lucky on my part it would have been a different battle if i hadn't taken spore chimneys for some heavy cover saves, but in the end deep striking genestealers and lictors that don't scatter in the center of there forces proved to much. i have to say that spore chimneys are probly an auto include for future games of apocalyptic scale

It really isn't fair considering you have the newest and thus the most broken book.
