6th ed rumors

So I read some interesting stuff today. Not sure how to take it until I can really see the book and have it in my hands but here are some of the cooler things I have read.

Allies are back into the book! marines and guard etc

Random charges as per WHFB

No rule limiting when you can measure

every unit has a 6+ save vs pysic powers.

You pick the psyic powers when you play the model on the table.

Going to a % based system for force org.

And area terrain is supposed to be back as well.

Close combat weapons will al have AP stats now I.E power weaons are ap 2 etc

Random terrain effects

And you can buy some buildings with your army and deploy them when you deploy your army.

I like alot of this the only two thing's I am not a fan of is random charges as it is the only thing in the new WHFB that I do not like. and Ap saves on close combat weapons but I will have to see this one in practice if it is true.

Ugh. Premeasuring. And more complicated assault. And Random charges. Because those were obviously good for WHF8. Thumbs down.

at deployment. THIS IS A HUGE WIN. Pick the best powers for the opponent.

loved it in old school, loved its return to fantasy. I expect it to be fine

could be fun if not overdone

I do not think that Assaults will be more complicated but I will be disappointed if chain swords and other marine CCW have ap 5 and negate termigaunt and ork saves. Whats the point of even having that on your stat sheet if they do something like that. I mean a 6+ save is not much now but they should not take it away.


If they just make claws teeth and generic CCW's ap - then I do not fore see a problem with this.


And with the new rumors putting Psychic powers along the same wave length as Magic In WFB then awesome. I think the magic phase is solid and the lores are good so if they bring this over to 40k then it should only make the game better.

I'm just going to point out that about 90% of that was in the 6th ed leak from way back. The only things that were not was the pre-measuring, the random charges, and the psychic save... oh and allies were not in it either.


Yeah everything else was in the "hoax" "leak"... (just take which ever you believe out of quotes)

I still am excited about it

Yeah I Really want it to just be out already so I can read threw it and make changes to my list as needed. Also I want to build a army for adepticon this year and do not want to start until I know for sure what is going to happen with the books.


All I can say is that if they Allow for allies again or forge world models to be in the main book then ill be a happy camper. Storm Eagle Here I come!!

GW has removed the 40k rulebook from its lineup. I wonder when the 6th ed will debut.

last time they did that with the empire book it was out the next month. Now I can not say for sure but I think it will be the same here. or at least I hope so i am really looking forward to it. Though Im sure it will take a few months of play before i can full absorbe how good or bad the rules are.


Im really looking forward tot he next assualt on black reach type box. Expect there tobe a midnight realse type party for that set when it comes out!
