Well were getting close enough to the next point jump in the league that people should start thinking about what they are going to take at the next points jump so I am going to post my list here and talk about it for the newer players to get a idea of what is going into a 2000 point army.

Lord- Empire General- Sword of Sigsmund - Full plate, shield- 140pts

Lord- Wizard- level 4 of life- seal of destruction, ring of Volans- 275pts

hero- Warrior priest- armor of meteoric iron, hammer of might, potion of speed- 135pts

hero- master engineer, hochland long rifle- 65pts

Core- spear men- x40- full command- 220pts

Detachment- hand gunners- x10 - 80pts

Detachment- archers- x10- 80pts

Core- knights- x10- musician, preceptor- 254pts

Core- flagellant warband- x30- prophet of doom- 310pts

special- pistoliers- x5- musician- 96pts

special- Great cannon- 100pts

special- Great cannon- 100pts

Special- mortar- 75pts

special- Mortal- 75pts

-2000pts


So for the next jump I added a bunch of things too the list that would compliment what I am already using in my current 1000pt army. I added more firepower to the list too give me a bit more board control between the two mortars and the addition of the hand gunners and archers I will be able to pick of tougher units from afar and give my knights and spear men a better chance when they are in hand too hand. The mortars also complement my great cannons flawlessly as they offer what the cannons lack and that's to take down big units of guys. where the cannons can do what there supposed to do and take down big monsters.

Also I added a big unit of flagellants to the list to give me a good solid melee unit that can tie up units and put the hurt on things if it has too. These guys will get into combat and stay there till ether they are all dead or the other guy is and hopefully with all there attacks the other guy will be.

I also added three new hero's to the list. One is a empire general, this guys main job is to bump my leadership up to nine, but he also has a pretty hand to hand profile and should do alright at helping whatever unit hes in kill more guys. The warrior priest helps in a lot of ways he give my army a little bit more magic defence he offers some great unit buff spells, and again he pretty good at hand too hand with a few ticks up his sleeves like the potion of speed to maybe let him go first in a challenge and put some wounds on enemy hero's. Lastly you have the master engineer to help out my cannons and mortars hit there targets. Hes also got a sniper rifle so i can try and pick of enemy's from afar. The best part of this gun is i can target whoever I want in a unit like a unit champion or level 2 wizards.


All in all i have a fairly balanced army that should be able to hold its own no matter who im facing on the other end of the table. Hope this helps and if not at least you know what to bring to counter my army = )

This list is pretty hard hitting. You have both distance and close equal, so whatever you face you wont have to change your stragey too much. Your wizard though seems like he cost alot of points, and being that they can take themselves out( and others along with them) isnt that risky?

Lore of life has some good miscast defence. But it is a little risky but hes doing well for me so far. It is a good solid list and i want other people to bring good strong lists as well. If you are Demo corps or KoTgT then you should play to have fun and to be compeditive!!!

What does it matter if you Wizard MIGHT kill himself, when he WILL wreck a unit with dwellers? With Throne of Vines, he only has the miscast on a 1, and you still can't stop it, and you unit is dead, and he healed a wound.

And I feel the need to point out that you should play for fun. Especially in club play. This is a bash face list. Competitive is good and all, but if you constantly stomp people, nobody will want to play.

If you read my last post I did put playing for fun before compeditive play = ). But I feel you can and should be able to do both. Honestly sportsmanship gose farther in having fun in a game then what you bring to the table IMO.
