| I'm new getting into Warmachine and I am fairly confident that the last thing I painted was in elementary school. Can anyone recommend a good painting 101? What brushes, what paints, what is a wash, etc. I just need to start at square one and most of the "tutorials" I find are already mixing 4 or 5 mediums in given ratios and taking their nominclature for granted. | |

| There are plenty across the web and on youtube. Ask any questions that you may have here as well. I'll be happy to answer them. | |

| The Fort Collins store has a paint night the first Saturday of every month, the next being Feb 2. We would be happy to get you started. We are also around Saturday afternoons and always willing to help.
And, like wooky said, drop any questions in here and we can help.
What force do you have? What color scheme are you looking to use?
Your stuff is likely resin, being warmachine, so I recommend a dish soap scrub to get the release off. An old tooth brush is grewt for this. Then, for starting, I recommend a black primer. It hides mistakes better.

| I'm waiting for my two player battle box to sell. Once it does I'm going to be playing Scyrah. I guess I'll just be using the normal paint scheme. The one in most of the pictures. | |

| Ok, do NOT prime them black. You will need to prime white. I prefer army painter white primer. White is a tough color. I recommend an off white or light grey, then painting white on the raised areas. You will have to do several thin coats to get a smooth finish. | |

Agreed, if you're using light base colors for your scheme, you will want a lighter primer on your models.
